“When I began treatment with Dr. Garde over two and a half years ago I was in constant pain in my neck, jaw and shoulders. Serious headaches limited my ability to function in a highly demanding job and I was no longer able to do any of the physical activities that had always defined my leisure time, such as hiking and skiing.

Dr. Garde began working with me 3-4 times a week. His first goal was to reduce my pain level as quickly as possible and I began to notice a significant improvement almost immediately. Naturally, the quality of my life increased dramatically with the steady reduction in physical pain.

Dr. Garde realized that I had significant problems in my neck that would require a long term approach to the treatment process. He has worked at a deeper and deeper level over the years, thereby increasing the strength and flexibility in my neck. I am usually relatively comfortable and if my neck is "out", he can adjust it more easily now as my overall health is much improved.

I have also appreciated the coaching I have received from Dr. Garde on almost every visit. He is a natural teacher, emphasizing everything from the importance of posture to the importance of living a balanced life in which listening carefully to the body's communication is vital to well-being.

In short, I am extremely grateful to Dr. Garde. I trust and respect him as a person and I believe his chiropractic care is of the highest quality.”

“I have been a professional actor and dancer in New York City for the last ten years. As a result of multiple injuries, I have needed quite a lot of body work in order to keep working, and have been treated by many people from many different fields. Most of the people I have seen - from chiropractors to cranio-sacral therapists - are people who work in large-part on dancers. My mother lives in Boulder, and I have taken time off to visit her, and to recover from injuries, quite frequently. On one such visit I met Dr. Garde, who was my mother's chiropractor, because an old injury in my neck flared up. I was expecting the usual thirty-second crack to get me back into alignment and then to be sent on my way. But I was absolutely blown away by the treatment I received. Dr. Garde is by far and away the most knowledgeable body practitioner of any kind that I have ever seen. His knowledge of the human body and functionality is remarkable. As a dancer, his ability to talk and to treat on such a subtle level was thrilling and also extremely helpful. We could work together with our common 'body knowledge' to make the treatment as productive and healing as possible, and he could also give me very specific exercises during and after the adjustments, that were not only pain reducing but extremely helpful to me in my art and development as a dancer/actor. His treatments also addressed ways to improve breath control and create more space for singing, which was also incredibly helpful for my work.

Dr. Garde is a very unique and valuable resource for dancers, and would be an absolute asset to whomever he worked with, especially if it could be consistently and over time - developing a common language and working system with each individual dancer and their particular needs. I only wish he lived in New York and that I could reap the benefits of his talents for myself more often! ”
